
IDC, the distinguished technology research group, recently released a case study that chronicles one branded manufacturer’s successful eCommerce strategy.
The study features the Vitec Group – the owner of over a dozen well-known photo and video equipment brands – and its successful international eCommerce strategy. Through a successful collaboration with Shopatron, the Vitec Group launched more than a dozen online stores around the world for its brands, offering consumers online buying while using their dealers for order fulfillment. Through this strategy, Vitec was able to turn channel conflict into channel advantage, resulting in their dealers stocking and selling more of their product in stores.
