Skiing Business sponsored a webinar entitled "e-Commerce is an Important Sales Tool." This webinar discussed the use of eCommerce as an additional sales channel for brick-and-mortar retailers. Mark Grondin, the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Shopatron, and Rett Clevenger, co-founder of Steal Network and former Backcountry.com eCommerce guru, presented eCommerce case studies focused on brick-and-mortar online business models.
Mr. Clevenger presented various strategies that brick-and-mortar shops can use to sell products online, the elements required to get started, and things to consider as retail shops investigate alternatives. Mr. Grondin discussed ways to better incorporate retail-integrated eCommerce and in-store pickup into a retailer's sales strategy — especially during the holidays.
While the focus of the webinar was on the snow sports industry, the topics discussed are relevant to brick-and-mortar specialty retailers and branded manufacturers from all consumer products industries.
